Dixie Roads

Dixie Roads is about our state of mind. It simply makes us smile as we stroll through life down the roads that cross our farm in Southeastern Tennessee. Our home is on a 360 acre farm, part of which belonged to my grandparents. My grandmother just happened to be named Dixie, and much of my childhood was spent here. Obviously my mind drifts back in time to happy thoughts of my Dixie roads. Some days the roads are dusty, some days they are muddy and some days they are just the right path to lead us to the shelter our good Lord has provided. Our Australian Shepherds love to romp, run and jump their ways down these roads. Tim drives his restored International Farmall tractors across these paths. I like to think that God walks with me as I reflect on my life spent traveling this special stretch of the world. Lee Greenwood wrote a song with the following words...I left heaven waiting down a Dixie road. We have found our small piece of heaven with all the things we love down our Dixie Roads.
